Golden Age Vets Weigh In on Ryder's 'Not Traci Lords XXX'

LOS ANGELES—AVN Award-winning director Will Ryder's upcoming homage to the Golden Age of adult, "Innocent": Not Traci Lords XXX, has garnered early votes of approval from some of the top industry figures of the era. Currently in post-production, the movie is slated for release from X-Play in early September.

Set in 1984, Not Traci Lords portrays not only the notorious actress of the title but many of her contemporaries, including Ginger Lynn, Christy Canyon, Bunny Bleu, Nina Hartley, Kristara Barrington, Nina DePonca and Amber Lynn, in their heydey.

Offered Amber Lynn herself, "I gave the project my blessing because it's an honor to have them do this."

AVN Hall of Fame director Roy Karch, who serverd as a consultant on the movie, remarked, "The '80s was such an amazing time in porn. When Traci Lords came along, things went from illegal and exciting to a hundred miles an hour and then instantly off the tracks when the industry ran into a brick wall. It was a very serious time in our business."

For his part, Ryder submitted, "I'm pretty certain to my knowledge nothing like this has ever been done and fans of classic porn will love this modern look at a bygone era."

He added, "I had the opportunity to meet some of these stars in the early 1980s when I produced music for porn movies, and I just loved them. At the time it was like meeting the Beatles, and Amber Lynn was particularly tantalizing. Just fabulous."

Details about the cast of "Innocent": Not Traci Lords XXX will be released in the coming weeks.
