In Touch, Inc., which publishes "gay sophisticates" magazines In Touch and Indulge and the quarterly Black Male, has been purchased by Go West Media Group, LLC, Go West announced December 22. Go West will move the publications' operations to Las Vegas as part of the deal.
“We are excited about the opportunity to publish these incredible titles," said Go West chief executive Wes Miller announcing the purchase, "and we are honored and proud to be adding to our family the very first gay erotic magazine first published more than thirty years ago.”
In Touch, Inc. founder Frank Roedel said in his own statement that he's excited for Miller and the Go West group as well as the future of the company he created.
Go West will also assume publication of the video series In Touch Additions, Miller said, as well as exploring more DVD product and opportunity.
Both the video series and its parent magazine are aimed at men who prefer the boy-next-door type, while Indulge features slightly older, more muscular, and more hirsute men and Black Male features well-built men of color, Go West said.
All three publications feature several photo spreads in each issue plus erotic fiction, erotic art, and current video and book reviews and other gay culture information. Coming plans include a search for a new art director and a stronger Internet presence.
