RESEDA, Calif.—Strays: Part 1, the first installment in a new series from Girlfriends Films, releases on DVD June 28. The series focuses on the love lives of a group of sexy lesbians working at an animal shelter.
The first volume of the series includes a public service announcement from adult legend Julia Ann regarding the benefits of animal adoption.
Strays: Part 1 features 2011 AVN Best Actress recipient and Girlfriends Films contract star India Summer. Also in Part 1 is Andy San Dimas, who tied with Summer for the 2011 Best Actress award, as well as Elexis Monroe, Natasha Nice, Jessie Andrews and Celeste Star.
“Animal adoption and the humane treatment of all animals are causes dear to everyone at Girlfriends Films,” Girlfriends Films Vice President Moose said. “We saw the series Strays as a way to express our love for our pets, as well as educate viewers on the important issue. Most of the performers in the series have pet dogs and cats, causing them to become extremely invested in the movie in every way. Strays is an engaging story with extremely hot sex.”

Strays: Part 1 begins when Abby (Elexis Monroe) witnesses a dog abandoned by its owner on the side of the road. She calls her friend Carrie (Natasha Nice) to come over and help figure out what to do with the cute puppy. Abby’s act of kindness earns a sensual reward from Carrie, but Abby isn’t content. She decides to start a rescue service for stray animals. Wendy (India Summer), a journalist for the local paper, is assigned an article on Abby’s endeavor, though her wild night with Carrie also earns a bold headline. With the rescue mission under way, eager volunteer Alicia decides to devote her time the charity and to pleasing Abby. Everyone is joining the good cause, including workers for animal control. Of course, they’re willing to donate their time in the field, as well as the bedroom.
Strays is the newest series for Girlfriends Films from director Melissa Monet. Her other series also focused on women in uniform is the sexy cop drama, To Protect and to Serve.
Filmed in high definition with Sony XDCAM cameras, the DVD includes a behind-the-scenes video, XXX and glamour photo gallery, plus trailers to hit Girlfriends Films movies. The DVD is presented in 16:9 widescreen format.
