Ginger Lynn Looks Well-Repaired At Torn Premiere

On Thursday, Aug. 26, VCA threw out all the stops to premiere its latest extravaganza, Torn, featuring the return of classic porn actress Ginger Lynn.

The evening began with a photo op at VCA's billboard outside Dublin's Tavern, where Ginger, dressed in a purple gown with fake-fur trim that barely hid her matching bra, posed below a trio of gigantic Ginger images from the film.

Then it was off to the Hustler Hollywood store, where Lynn was interviewed by at least one local TV station, the syndicated magazine show Extra, and Load magazine. During the two-hour event, at least 100 fans and looky-loos gathered, with many seeking autographs from the bubbly blonde.

Just before 8 p.m., as the autograph session was winding down, a crew from The Netherlands TV2 - "The Flying Dutchman" - raced into the store to interview Ginger and present her with something called "Golden Phorphemory Award." However, since no pre-arrangement had been made, the Euros left in a huff when VCA publicist Kylie Ireland had to limit them to two minutes of Ginger's time.

Some of the assemblage then repaired to The Cat Club across Sunset Boulevard from the Hustler store for an after-party, where the ranks swelled to at least 130 guests, including such personalities as rocker Billy Idol; VCA owner Russ Hampshire and wife Betty; Torn director Jane Hamilton; Torn co-scripters (with Ginger) Beth Ann Rafael and Jake Smiley; VCA salesmen Ed Kail and Marty Turkel; Kylie (decked out in a cowgirl outfit complete with ten-gallon hat); Torn co-stars Sean Michaels and Chloe; Nina Hartley; Jill Kelly and date Julian; RayVeness and Todd Alexander; Luc Wylder and Alexandra Silk; Jeremy Stone and Christy Canyon; Alexa Rae and new manager Scotty Schwartz; writer Raven Touchstone; newcomer Eric Bishop (who just did his first scene with Chloe in Wesley Emerson's Mis-Spelled for VCA); Deva Station (who tells us she's toying with the idea of coming back to porn), new blond ingenue Deja Lewis; returning performer April; Steve Orenstein and "potential fiancee" (according to Russ Hampshire) Jan King; and Judy of "Clit Clips" jewelry fame.

The party lasted past 1 a.m., leaving a very tired but satisfied Ms. Lynn scheduled to fly out to a dance gig at noon the next day.
