Gina Lynn Productions Goes Independent

Gina Lynn Productions announced Friday that it will begin distributing its own product for the first time since the company’s inception in September of 2004.

As part of the move, Gina Lynn Productions (GLP) will now share warehouse space with Jules Jordan Video, which will also sell the titles for GLP owners Gina Lynn and Travis Knight.

“I’ve been friends with Gina Lynn and Travis for a long time and they were telling me how they wanted to do their own distribution and kind of consolidate everything,” Jules Jordan explained to AVN.com. “I had just opened my own warehouse and we had some room to work with some people and we decided we would make a project out of it and sell their product for them.”

Jordan said the GLP titles would have their own identity without his company’s label attached.

“Gina and Travis will have full control of their product,” he said. “It’s being sold through the Jules Jordan Video offices even though it’s not a Jules Jordan Video product, but we’re sharing the same overhead and the same salesperson (Dan Motola). We’re just going to facilitate their business.

“So they’re going to be delivering me a finished, packaged product.”

Gina Lynn Productions had been distributed by Exquisite Multimedia (EXP) since the company launched.

“Jerry [Estrada] at Exquisite did a great job selling it but Gina and Travis wanted to take care of everything themselves and make a project out of it,” Jordan added. “Another reason they went on their own is they want to up their production schedule to two or three a month instead of one every other month.”

Knight told AVN.com, “I think we tried to work it out with EXP, and not to take anything away from EXP, but maybe it wasn’t for us. They sell a lot of interracial-type stuff and we didn’t fit into the mix. Jerry and Alex [Estrada], they’re good people. They’re still good to us. They’re still letting us put out the product that has their name on it until we sell out of it.”

Lynn, meanwhile, noted that the new business relationship with Jordan is based on merit. The long-standing friendship among the group is a bonus.

“Jules would’ve never taken us on unless he knew he could do well with our stuff,” Lynn said from her home in Sinking Springs, Pa., which is near Reading. “He did the research. He’s a smart business guy, and if he knew he couldn’t do well with us, he wouldn’t have made this move, even as just a friend. He went and talked to store owners.”

Lynn added, “I’m glad EXP gave us the chance. They had enough faith in our product to take us on as distributors. They could’ve said ‘no.’ [Jerry] was the first person I showed my stuff to. That was a move forward there.”

Knight said the reason that GLP won’t be using the JJV label is that “we don’t want to confuse people with the style and the higher price” of Jordan’s titles.

“I think this is going to be a good move for us,” Knight continued. “We’ve always been good friends and I think it just takes us to the next level. Jules has been guiding us through our whole career since we started shooting, giving us advice and options.”

GLP will release Drowning in Bitch Juice, its first independent title, in November, followed by the fifth edition of the company’s signature series, Top Notch Bitches.

Lynn, formerly a contract girl for Pleasure Productions and Club Video, said she is excited about being involved in all aspects of production.

“Now I’m involved in every little detail,” Lynn said. “I’m excited about choosing the girls. Before I wasn’t as involved. It’s almost like even though we’re not putting Jules’ name on the boxes, that you really have to prove something to him. I want to do well for us all around. We’re all putting a lot into this right now. At one time I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with Gina Lynn Productions. I know I can do it. Everywhere we go we’re doing research beforehand. Travis and I are shooting a girl in Myrtle Beach, S.C. next week “

Lynn said the central theme of the all-girl Drowning in Bitch Juice is one girl smothering her pussy on another girl’s face.

“You drown in their juices,” Lynn said, noting that the scene with Nikki Benz and Alektra Blue was especially intense.

Lynn, who directed, also captured Florida newcomer Riley Evans, and personally worked with Brooke Haven.

“She’s great, we love that girl,” Lynn said. “She did a really good scene. … I remember her saying, ‘Gina, I’m only doing this because it’s you.’”

Meanwhile, Lynn enjoyed a threesome with Asian newcomer Asa and Jess Wakefield, both of whom she recruited out of the Hustler Club in New York City.

“I did a three-way outside my home. The one was riding my mower. The girls were working on the landscaping at my house. I think it’s different. You get to see my home, my waterfall, the East Coast. You see a lot of me in that movie.”

Lynn said not only did she hose the girls down on that summer day, but she also lined them up on the bridge above her pond for pussy eating.

In another encounter, Lynn and Wakefield roughed each other up in Lynn’s basement.

“I had her suspended from my basement ceiling and my swing with a buttplug and a horse tail. She’s blindfolded and she’s hanging,” Lynn explained, adding that she wore a brown wig for the scene. “I was also in the swing. The position she was in was so amazing. I took a lot [of punishment] before that. I found out I can take a good whipping.”

And in Top Notch Bitches 5, Lynn does a three-way with Nicole Sheridan and Voodoo, another real-life couple that performed together in the original Top Notch Bitches. The action also includes Jenna Haze and Knight in what Lynn called an “incredible” anal scene, as well as appearances by Eva Angelina, Tory Lane and Asa.
