Gibson Girl Testifies Against Babydol

April White testified under immunity Tuesday that she worked for a year for Jody (Babydol) Gibson - the first prostitute to testify in Gibson's prostitution trial.

White testified that she charged clients up to $1,000 for a visit during that year, after meeting Gibson in a restaurant in 1998 and going to work immediately, with her fees divided at 60 percent for herself and 40 percent for Gibson.

White's testimony could put a crimp in the Gibson defense that she was actually a budding porn producer whose employees were performers for her films. "We talked about that I would work for her, and have sex with clients, and that I'd get paid for it," White told the court.

She also described her fateful encounter with an undercover Los Angeles Police Department detective, Shoukry Ethnasios, who has also testified in the trial. "Eventually, we ended up without clothes on," White testified of the encounter last June - after which Gibson was arrested.

Gibson's defense also hinges on whether the LAPD is guilty of misconduct in the investigation. She faces up to 17 years in prison if convicted on all charges of pimping and pandering.
