CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Giant Media Group, Inc., which just acquired Devil's Film, has also taken ownership of the two series formerly produced by the Devil's-distributed GoodFellas Productions, America's Next Top Tranny and Up Close and Virtual.
Steve Volponi, GoodFellas founder and Devil's vice president of sales and production, will remain the creative force behind the series, which will continue to carry the GoodFellas banner. Volponi will also retain ownership of the GoodFellas name and oversee future series it produces.
"It's a step in taking Devil's to the next level and the beginning of great things to come," Giant Media Group CEO Nick Orlandino said.
Added Volponi, "Nick knows how to take things from point A to point Z. He's got some great ideas for the [series] and is committed to upping the ante production-wise. We got a lot on the horizon, including some groundbreaking stuff no one's seen in the transsexual genre."
The first title under the new arrangement, America's Next Top Tranny: Season 16, is set to street Thursday.
"You've got to stick with a winning line," Volponi said. "We're more motivated than ever to make America's Next Top Tranny bigger and better. From the concepts to the costumes, every volume will be better than the last."
No plans for future volumes of interactive T-girl series Up Close and Virtual have yet been announced. New GoodFellas series are in development, but have not officially been put into motion, according to a company spokesperson.
