Gia Paloma Inks Deal With Astrux

Hotshot starlet Gia Paloma has signed a non-exclusive promotional contract with upstart Astrux Entertainment.

The announcement comes less than a month after the company signed Taylor Rain, 2004 AVN Female Performer of the Year Award nominee, to a similar deal.

The contract stipulates that Paloma will appear for Astrux at such major industry events as the AVN Expo and Internext. She will also do radio and other promotion for the Astrux. In return, Astrux will build and maintain Paloma’s Website, the URL address of which will be announced soon.

The Website will include exclusive photo and video content, a Webcam and a blog, as well as Paloma-branded products including videos, DVDs, Polaroids, autographed items and some “surprises,” Paloma told AVN.com.

Paloma will also have an opportunity to work behind the camera for the first time, directing an all-girl POV line for Astrux.

In the adult business for less than a year, Paloma, 20, has quickly made a name for herself with her enthusiastic scenes. She plans to bring some of that same energy to the titles she directs.

“I want to do something cool and different, something no one else is doing,” Paloma said. “I’m sure someone else has done all-girl POV, but it’s not something you see every day. Obviously, the guys want to check out the chicks, but rather than looking down and seeing a cock, like in other POV series, they’ll see another pussy or tits. It’s going to be really hot.”

Astrux co-owner Phil Martin said the company is committed to uncovering young talent with fresh ideas.

“The Astrux crew is young, and we like working with young people who with new ideas,” Martin told AVN.com.

Astrux will be setting up a Yahoo! Group for Paloma to satisfy fans while the site is being built. They plan to offer members of the Yahoo! Group a free Paloma autograph with the purchase of one of her videos.

Astrux’s debut title, Up in Da Club LA, receives a four-star review in the upcoming November issue of AVN.
