Game Link Hires New Creative Director

Former Ouokka Sports creative director Christian Anthony, who worked on digital broadcasting for several prime sports events, has been named the new creative director for Game Link, the company announced May 19.

The Silicon Valley veteran said in a statement he was excited about joining Game Link. "I am looking forward to an exciting career here at Game Link," he said. "I feel my experience will come in handy with the amazing people here who have already made this into an exceptional company."

Reached for further comment, Anthony said his Ouokka experience helps him coming to Game Link. "I think at the back end of this stuff, it's all about organising and keeping together," he said. "I work with marketing to make sure we have the message correct. They've done a really good business (at Game Link), but they're growing up now, getting really big, and we've got to be graphically tightening everything up, becoming the next level of professionalism. It's good to be here to make that happen."

Anthony said Game Link's coming improvements will include expanding to higher bandwidth, and creating and marketing products toward those consumers who have higher-bandwidth capability and access.

With Ouokka, Anthony worked such major events as the America's Cup yachting race, CART auto racing, MotoGP motorcycle racing, and the Internet coverage of the 2000 Olympics for NBC. Anthony also designed and programmed four interactive kiosks at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.

"We are thrilled to have Christian as a part of our team," said Game Link president Ilan. "He brings a vast amount of knowledge and insight to our company."
