Gambino Capo Nailed In E-Porn Scam

Reputed Gambino Family caporegime Salvatore Locascio could easily afford his sumptuous compound here: the federal government says he collected $8 million in an Internet porn scam.

Authorities arrested Locascio May 20 on money laundering charges, according to the New York Post.

The scam involved porn sites run by lower-ranking associates that claimed to be free but asked for credit card numbers for verification, the Post said, with those giving the information finding $90 charges on their credit cards, according to authorities.

The reputed mastermind of the scam, Richard Martino, was arrested in March for money laundering and mail and wire fraud. Locascio was scheduled for a May 21 arraignment, the Post said.
