'Tis coming down to the wire to get your nominations in for Gay2K, the 2000 GayVN Awards in Hollywood on March 10.
You've got until Dec. 31, in fact, to have your nominations in.
The show itself promises to be a hit like last year's ceremonies, which drew raves from several of the leading lights in the gay adult entertainment industry.
Typical of the responses was Rob Ellsworth, writing in Genre, who praised the GayVN Awards as "a pornucopia of porn studs, delicious daddies, and divine drag queens with more fun than a barrel of dildos."
But the mainstream media took note as well. Comedy Central's The Daily Show praised it as "the most fun you can have with your clothes on…the wildest awards show in Hollywood."
If you'd like to be there for the show, you have until Feb. 1 to get in on the $195 individual ticket price; after that, individual tickets are $225 each and no credit card orders are accepted. A table of ten arrangement is going for $1,800.
The festivities begin at 7:30 p.m. March 10 at the Universal Hilton Hotel in Hollywood. And a portion of the proceeds is going to benefit local AIDS charities and the Free Speech Coalition.
