G4TV to Air Segment with Wantedlist.com

–Television network G4 will air a segment featuring Wantedlist.com owners Anh Tran and Danny Ting on Jan. 12 at 6 P.S.T. The segment will see Tran and Ting discussing the top ten adult movies of 2006, with colorful commentary from the two company owners.

Wantedlist is a web-based adult DVD rental service built around a business model similar to that of Netflix. The company has been in business for five years.

“It’s our top ten list of this year’s best selling movies,” Tran explained to AVN.com. “We had originally just sent G4 a list with a few funny comments from us, about why we thought each movie had made it on the list. The network liked it so much, that they wanted us to host the countdown ourselves.

“I’ll be the first to admit that I am not a porn expert,” continued Tran, “I know the [sales] statistics on different movies, because that’s what we do, but this was my first foray into discussing the aesthetics of each movie. I think it went really well; I’m very excited about it. It gave us a chance to throw our perspectives in there…it’ll give people a different look from different voices.”

Tran, 30, also said that VH-1 is looking into featuring the company for a segment about Wantedlist, including footage from a party the company threw recently at Joseph’s in Hollywood.

“Things are going really well for the company,” added Tran. “We have a lot of exciting announcements coming up…we’ll be expanding our business model in some pretty significant ways.

“It’s all pretty exciting.”

Launched in 2002, G4TV is a American cable and satellite television channel available in over 60 million homes nationwide and geared towards male viewers aged 17-36.
