BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - AdultVest Inc. has brokered non-exclusive deals between adult IPTV platform FyreTV and seven major XXX studios: Red Light District, VCX, Teravision, Combat Zone, Mercenary Pictures, Channel 69 and Critical X.
As the licensing agent of FyreTV, AdultVest has lined up "several other major labels" for the soon-to-be-released IPTV service.
Accessed via a set-top box, FyreTV delivers DVD-quality streaming video through a standard DSL line with no buffering. Viewers can fast-forward and rewind programming at high speed, search movies for specific performers and scenes, and create playlists in a format similar to Apple's iTunes.
According to an AdultVest press release, FyreTV assures producers that their properties cannot be pirated because the system never downloads content to a computer.
FyreTV plans to kick off a multi-million dollar national consumer ad campaign at the 2008 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, where the company will have "firefighters" stationed on a red fire truck parked on the convention floor.
