Petite Dallas Black smiles when asked about her work as a talent agent. The Northern California native was immersed in the adult industry at 21 when she became a talent agent after a brief stint as a performer.
“I shot a few scenes when my boyfriend, who had a talent agency, told me he didn’t want me to continue doing it,” she said. “So I joined his agency and became a talent agent.”
The young agent soon was managing girls and dealing with producers, directors and studios on a daily basis, with a proverbial front-row seat to the behind-the-scenes deals, action and inevitable drama.
“I’ve seen the ins and outs of everything. I’ve seen girls freak out and companies freak on girls. But I like it. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t,” she said. “I really wanted to perform, but the person I was with didn’t think it was a good idea, but I’ve seen girls with a lot of potential come and leave right out the door and not fulfill that potential. I knew I wouldn’t make those mistakes.”
Raised in a small rural town, Black knew early on the value of hard work and responsibility. “Instead of doing things around the house, my parents would say go dig a ditch or go pull weeds,” she said. “I was always helping around the house and doing chores outside. I was a big tomboy and didn’t mind work.”
After high school, Black was contacted by an agent who saw her Facebook profile and, based on her good looks and athletic body, asked if she would be interested in making adult movies. Black agreed to come to Los Angeles and shot a few scenes before becoming an agent, but the idea of performing never left her.
“I know that this is what I was destined for. I told the guy I was with that this is what I want to do and I couldn’t be prouder of myself for doing this,” she said. “I’m not involved with anyone. I know how to promote myself, I know how to show up on time and I’m pretty aware of what I need to do. Since so many girls don’t have that knowledge, I’m going full force to do everything.”
Black’s first movie is ArchAngel’s Future Angels 2, with Megan Rain, Kinsey Taylor and Harlow Harrison. She has more coming up from New Sensations, Amateur Allure and others.
“In Future Angels 2 from Archangel, I work with Ramon Nomar. I get my head almost put through a wall so it’s a little rough, but fun,” she said.
As for her future, the young performer says it’s wide open: “I’d love to work with Lex Steele, and Mandingo would be fun just to say I did it. I worked with Manuel Ferrara and that was really fun, but I love girls too!”
When not performing, Black spends much of her time caring for her pet dogs Biggie and Harlow and dates occasionally.
“I look for personality in a guy. I like to laugh a lot and I like to eat, so if you’re on a diet, we’re not going to work,” she said. “I don’t mind one-night stands sometimes. What’s wrong with that? I don’t mind having sex and not seeing the other person again.”
