Free Speech Coalition Issues 'Action Alert,' Calls Meeting in Midwest

The Free Speech Coalition has issued an "Action Alert" for members of the adult industry located in the Midwest, calling an emergency meeting in Rosemont, Ill., on Sept. 26. 

The meeting will include important information on upcoming investigations and the federal government's "master plan" to persecute and prosecute the adult entertainment industry in the Midwest. 

"Only if all parts of our industry come together now will we be able to defeat the Feds," FSC Executive Director Bill Lyon said in the "Action Alert." "This meeting will help you understand how we will do it."  

The meeting will be at held at The Doubletree Hotel at 5460 River Rd. in Rosemont, Ill. 60018. There will be a reception from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and the meeting will go from 6:30-8:30 p.m.    

The program will include a brief introduction and statement of purpose by Lyon and a presentation of important current issues and ongoing investigations by prominent Chicago attorneys, J.D. Obenberger and Reed Lee, who are hosts and founders of the Midwest Chapter. A Q and A session will follow. 

Those who attend will also nominate and elect the Midwest Chapter's first Board of Directors. A meeting of the new board will be scheduled and the formation meeting will then be adjourned.
