Membership for all adult talent is now free at AdultxModels.com, the Website has announced, making the first time free membership has been available since a year ago.
The site has waived all signup fees as of October 28, while giving all who now sign up the benefits of paid subscriptions, AdultxModels.com said announcing the change. But whether the change will be permanent is still an open question, according to AdultxModels.com mastermind Bill Slevin.
"If we have the problem of too many fake models signing up, we may have to revert back to a small fee to keep only serious models signing up with us," he told AVN.com. "We are here to make a great place for models and producers to connect, and we are trying to avoid having people sign up if they are not serious."
Slevin said AdultxModels.com's first version was free for adult models, but too many fake signings – "fake people signing up just to get in and see pictures of the models" – provoked the imposition of a $14.95 a year fee when an updated version of the site unwrapped last November.
"Since then, we have built our talent database to over eight hundred models across the country, and have gained the respect (as) one of the few legitimate talent/management sites," said Slevin, who made a point of saying he supports such other, similar sites as adultstaffing.com and sexyjobs.com. "But due to the fact that everyone now feels they are talent agents and there are tons of new talent sites that are popping up daily with everyone offering fee membership to the models, we felt it was necessary to allow the models to sign up for free and we want to be able to include talent that may not have to few dollars at the time to sign up."
But AdultxModels.com will crack down on suspected profile faking, particularly with a growing number of scam Websites aimed at adult entertainment. "We are very strict," Slevin said. "If we feel a profile is fake we will contact the person if we get no response they are removed immediately. The problem is, most people do not understand that except for the few original sites out there, most of the new ones are advertising scams or producers just trying to get there own database of talent."
For the real models, AdultxModels.com now offers the capacity for each to add up to 25 photographs, list prices, biography and credits, and the chance to choose from numerous jobs and categories. They can also enter travel details which, when they're added to their profiles, will let producers in their areas know they're traveling and available to work while in those areas. And AdultxModels.com also has a new advanced booking system, helping a model track and organize bookings, plus a tips and tools section with information to enhance their profiles and get more exposure and work. For the real producers, they will be able to search models in numerous ways, from state/country and gender to job, job categories, just about any criteria. Producers can also elect to be notified when new models register and when they travel to the producers' areas. AdultxModels.com has over two thousand producers registered worldwide, in addition to the aforementioned eight hundred models.
"I feel our site will be the best or at least one of the best sites out there for talent," Slevin said. "We have major changes coming up over the next month that are going to improve the site 110%. We are teaming up with some very well known producers and models who support the site 100%. We are adding all kinds of new features to help make the site not only a source of talent, but more of a community for models and producers. We have had great support from models and producers big and small which has helped our reputation grow. We are here to help improve industry and make a safe place for models to find work."
