This edition of Frankly Speaking finds our AVN Online scribe going sword-to sword with Canadian heavy metal icon Thor the Rock Warrior.
When it comes to rock 'n' roll's barbarian side, there is only one artist who truly personifies the warrior in the term "rock warrior," Thor. No, not the comic book legend of the same name, Thor the Rock Warrior is a heavy metal frontman whose career dates back to the '70s and has had more ups and downs then Ginger Lynn. Born in Vancouver, Canada, Jon Mikl Thor grew up on a steady diet of comic books and hard rock, with Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath among his favorites. By his early teens the blond haired stud-in-the-making was a champion body builder, competing against the likes of Lou Ferrigno. Soon he found himself performing in nudie musicals in Las Vegas and Hawaii in the '70s before going mainstream with a hard rock band called Body Rock. After teaming with fellow Canadian cult rocker Frank Soda for a spell, Thor went solo and added the "Rock Warrior" moniker to his name, adopting the look of the mythological character depicted in the comics he loved as a kid.
The release of his excellent 1977 debut, Keep The Dogs Away, heralded his official debut on the rock scene but it wasn't until the early '80s that the Thor persona and stage show developed into the spectacle that it become known for. More Tap-tastic than Spinal Tap, Thor was having sword fights on stage, fighting demons, storming castles way before Monowar or GWAR and his feats of strength including bending steel bars in his teeth, blowing up hot water bottles with his lungs and having concrete blocks sledge-hammered or jack-hammered off his chest - soon became the stuff rock legends are made of. Soon, Hollywood came a-callin' and Thor was starring in low budget horror flicks like Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare and Zombie Nightmare.
Ladies and gentleman, may I present to you... Thor the Rock Warrior...
Sex has always seemed to be part of your persona and music? Why? What attracts you to the world of sex?
Sex has always felt healthy. I always believed in a healthy appetite, body, mind and sex. I started fucking at a young age, seven. It is a part of life.
How did you get into bodybuilding as a kid?
I wanted to be like a superhero in the comics and found that to be muscular you had to weight train. I noticed that women were attracted to muscles. I started training and following the heroes of the muscle mags like Dave Draper, Larry Scott and Steve Reeves. They always had some sex kitten posing beside them on the beach. This intrigued me.
Was music inspirational to you as a bodybuilder?
Yes. Very much so. I found that when I would listen to a song like "Paranoid" by Sabbath, "Whole Lotta Love" by Zeppelin or "Day Tripper" by the Beatles it worked me into a frenzy when I worked out. I also listened to heavy Rock when I was having sex. My favorite was screwing a girl from the back during Iron Man. "I am Iron Man!"
Tell me a little bit about your early days as a dancer in nudie musicals in the roaring, wild '70s? Did you score lots of chicks?
Yes there were lots of chicks. It was the time of free love. I had girls in the show and we would ball all the time back stage. Also we would do some all female shows in Hawaii where I would have sex with multiple women at one time. I liked doing the all-nude shows where I could perform in full rock glitter outfits then strip nude. I wanted the women to see my body and erection.
I think the body building contests got me very relaxed on stage and off. I started competing in physique championships at 14 years of age. There were groupies in that sport as well. Women would blow you back stage before going up to pose. Through my career I have had many orgies. I always was the only guy with multiple women. One time when I starred in What Do You Say To A Naked Waiter, I had a fluffer suck me backstage to get it hard to walk on stage for the all female audience. She did a great job and I had a huge hard on. Actually, she did too good of a job and when the wild women in the audiences started grabbing my penis it squirted into the crowd. How did you go from doing musicals to Thor the Rock Warrior?
In the days of Conan the Barbarian he would have many battles and much sex. They go hand in hand. In the real world if couples have a lot of sex they are happy and can cope with their jobs etc. So I continued my ways of much sex and rockin' the cities.
When did you loose your virginity?
When I was seven, a neighbor girl took her clothes off in my back yard. She was 13 and showed me amazing things.
What's the craziest thing you've done sexually?
The most fun thing? I had an after concert party and had seven women bent over in a circle. I was in the middle and just kept screwing them all.
Is there anything sexual you have always wanted to do and haven't?

Would you ever consider doing a porno?
My own sex life is already a porno. I've been asked to do porn but never did.
Now that porn is becoming more mainstream, what do you think is the next step? Where can it go from here?
I think we need to see more love and adventure movies with actual hardcore sex scenes, as well as great acting. High-budget films. How about a modern Romeo and Juliet, a really sexy Cat People or a Lord of The Rings where the elves get it on.
Tell me about your new albums, Mutant and the DOA split? How are they different than your past efforts?
I like to think that the sound is getting better and the songwriting more deeper. Mutant though was a discovery of lost damaged tapes that were restored digitally. I have had many emails from those who really, really liked the music, like "Into The Beyond" and "Battle Street." I always felt I was a good writer, even back in the '70. I enjoyed working with Joey Shithead on the DOA/Thor split.
What are you working on now?
The new CD, Triumphant, was released on September 25th in Canada and the U.S.A. I'm really excited about the power of the album. It also has multi-media on it as well. So you can watch some highlights and videos.
Any more movies in your future?
I had starred in Graveyard, which just won best Short film at the Cinemuerte festival. I'm proud about my involvement in Fubar: The Movie, which won awards in Canada. The next film I am starting in November is finishing the Intercessor Trilogy, a collection of three short films, including the sequel to Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare.

After a decade-long retirement, the mighty Thor is back in action, bending steel and rockin' out with songs like "Thunder on the Tundra" and "Let The Blood Run Red." A little older, a little wiser but still Schwarzenegger-like in build, Thor is touring behind three new albums, a collection of rarities called Mutant, a split album with Vancouver punk icons DOA called Are U Ready? and the re-release of his last album, Triumphant. He also is starring in and scoring two upcoming indie flicks, Graveyard and Intercessor (Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare 2). He is still pulling off insane feats of strength, still churning out ass-whomping heavy metal and still wields a gargantuan war-hammer.
