It may have been a dreary, overcast evening but for the pulsing crowd of fashion’s elite coursing through Element, Hollywood’s newest hot spot, the drizzling skies couldn’t cool the excitement. Over 550 fashion industry celebrities, stylists and wardrobe specialists converged on Monday night to experience Forplay’s First Annual Costume Couture Fashion Show. And while the attendees were certainly dressed to the nines, it was Forplay’s fabulous Halloween costumes that drew everyone there.
"This has been a huge year for us," Forplay CEO Houman Salem said. “The company has gone through tremendous growth this past year and we have some costumes that are just flying off the shelves right now, our Vaudeville Vixen, our Sexy Dracula, our Naughty Nurse, our Naughty Police Officer… And of course, you know, we have our staple: school girls. We do so many school girls now. As a result of designing for Britney Spears we’re having a hard time keeping those in stock.”
Houman continued, “Tonight is Forplay’s First Annual Costume Couture Fashion Show. We just thought it was very appropriate for a company like Forplay, since we design a lot of costumes, and again we’re famous for the Britney Spears' school girl outfit, to put on a show for LA and all of our local buyers, customers, friends and families, celebrities and stylists, and wardrobe specialists. Just to come out and get to know Forplay a little bit better, show them our line; show them our Halloween costumes for this year. We might even be previewing some of our Halloween costumes for next year…”

The show itself was sexy, fun and provocative as the lovely models of Femme Fatale worked the costumes and the runway. Celebrity hosts Jerry Ferris and Tommy Davidson gave it added sizzle. Davidson gave his amped-up hip-hop rendition of the National Anthem.
As the event wrapped up in the wee hours of Tuesday morning and the limo’s lined up along Las Palmas to whisk away fashion’s illustrious partiers, we thought back to the Forplay-crafted, Britney Spears-school-girl look and it made us wonder; will we soon be seeing pregnant school girl costumes?
