Former adult entertainer drops suit against Rodman

According to the AP, a former adult entertainer has agreed to dismiss the federal lawsuit she filed in June 1998 against former basketball star Dennis Rodman.

Dixie Johnson, 48, claimed Rodman sexually assaulted her in April 1998 by grabbing one of her breasts at the Las Vegas Hilton. Johnson's case is one of several lawsuits filed against Rodman during the past 18 months in Las Vegas.

Gregory Hafen, a Las Vegas attorney who represented Rodman in the case, would not say whether the dismissal meant the parties had reached a settlement. A judgment of dismissal, signed by Senior U.S. District Judge Lloyd George, was entered in the case late last month.

Johnson had asked for compensatory damages of $300,000 and punitive damages of $3 million, plus attorney fees and costs of the lawsuit.

According to court records, Johnson claimed she was sent by her former employer, Stripper Elite Entertainment, to entertain Rodman at the Hilton.
