Cara Morgan-Shaw, a longtime developer/designer for the Hustler stores and clubs and Déjà Vu chain, has opened a consultation company for retailers wanting to create high-end stores.
She is also working on her own national chain of Classy Adult Stores and is keeping the name and location of the first one a secret.
Morgan-Shaw started out with Hustler as director of operations designing the Monroe, Ohio, store, as well as Hustler San Diego, Paris and most of the other Hustler Clubs. After leaving Hustler, she went to work with the partners of the Hustler Club chain, The Déjà Vu Corporation. Working with Harry Mohney, she helped create new stores in the chain and revamp older clubs and stores. Her experience also includes handling contracts, permits and city compliance matters. In addition, Morgan-Shaw said she is also hands-on with product selection, vendor dealings and staffing. She thanked Theresa Flynt of Hustler and Mohney of Déjà Vu for their help along the way.
