Former Crime Scene Analyst Indicted for Child Porn

A former Senior Las Vegas Police Crime Analyst has been indicted on Federal child porn charges, according to the Associated Press.

An arrest warrant was issued for 55-year-old Daniel Robert Peterson of Las Vegas.

The Associated Press reported that Peterson is charged with three counts of transporting child porn, one count of receipt of child porn, and one count of possession of child porn.

If found guilty, he could face 30 years in prison and more than $1 million in fines.

The news service said that Peterson resigned from the department a month ago almost 15 years on the job.

U.S. Attorney for Nevada Daniel Bogden says the charges stem from allegations that Peterson obtained images of child porn between last February and September.
