For The Girls, an adult Website for women, is celebrating its first birthday by running a giveaway for members from now until June 30. Prizes include adult movies, sex toys, and gift baskets, and the site has created special banners so affiliates can promote the giveaway.
All members have to do to enter the contest is fill out a survey.
"We want to know more about what kind of porn women want, and how we can better offer it," co-owner Karen J told AVNOnline.com. "The contest runs from now until the end of June, at which point we'll randomly pick winners from those who have filled out the survey. Women love competitions, so we expect it will add another incentive to join our site.
First prize is $250 to spend at Xxxpress Toys, plus a six-month membership to For The Girls. Second prize is $150 to spend at Xxxpress Toys plus a three-month membership, while third prize is $50 to spend and a one-month membership. For The Girls is also giving away items donated by their sponsors, including naughty chocolates from Chocolate Sweetie, fantasy gear from Fashion Fantasy, gift vouchers from Lady Bliss, and a custom story from Custom Erotica.
ForTheGirls.com launched in 2003, offering erotica for women by women. The site includes photo and movie content, articles, fiction, columns, sex advice, and news.
"It's been a big year," said Karen. "We started with only our own traffic, and we haven't looked back since then. There's just been a constant growth in members and affiliates. Putting up a new tour in March was significant. It essentially doubled our sales."
"In terms of content, we've now got over a year's worth of archived magazine issues and pictorials," Karen added. "We've added columnists, guest fiction writers, and lots of new regular features like our women's health section. And we have a range of new content like audio stories and a wider selection of movies. Our retention rates are excellent, and we think the variety of content offered by the e-zine is a big factor in why members choose to stay."
For The Girls is part of Webmaster program Purple Dollars, which offers 50/50 revenue-sharing through CCBill. PurpleDollars.com recently added a new tour, new hosted sites and galleries, and a new selection of banners
"We're a long way from our peak," Karen said. "We've got plans for more sites, and we're looking to commission exclusive content in the future. And there's still a lot of potential affiliates out there who are wasting their hidden female traffic. Ten million American women are surfing porn every month, and we want to cater to all of them."
