For the Girls’ PurpleDollars.com Adds New Features

Women’s erotica site ForTheGirls.com's Webmaster program PurpleDollars.com recently added a new tour, new hosted sites and galleries, and a new selection of banners.

"We developed For The Girls to fill a gap that we saw in the 'For Women' market," ForTheGirls.com co-owner Debbie told AVN.com. "Many of the sites that were available to the female surfer were no more than a front for cookie cutter pay sites run by organizations that did not understand that the needs of female surfers are different to what men are looking for when surfing for porn.

The site features male centerfolds, screensavers, fiction, couples photos, and female-oriented movies, as well as an online women’s magazine. It is designed to “appeal to women who are dissatisfied with existing mainstream sites and are looking for adult material that reflects female sexuality,” the company said.

“We are aware that whilst women like to look at pictures and movies, women are not satisfied with the stereotypes that exist in pornography,” Debbie said. “We choose our content carefully; our pictures focus on pleasure from a female point of view. We avoid facials and other male-orientated pictures.

"We are also very aware that women want a lot more than pictures and movies," she continued. "Our site is an online magazine for women. We offer a wide range of articles and features, we address women's issues, and we keep up to date with what is going on in the world. We produce most of our written content ourselves."

ForTheGirls.com offers an affiliate program, PurpleDollars.com, encourages Webmasters to include marketing to women as part of their business strategy. Purple Dollars recently added a new tour, new hosted sites and galleries, ands a new selection of banners. They offer 50/50 revenue-sharing through CCBill.

According to statistics from Neilsen//NetRatings, women are increasingly searching out porn. As of December 2003, women accounted for 30 percent of porn surfers, with over 10 million American women accessing porn in December. A March 2004 survey by British newspaper The Mirror revealed that around one-third of British porn surfers are women.

"For The Girls exists to take advantage of an often-ignored market,” said co-owner Karen J. “So many Webmasters dismiss the idea that women like porn and this attitude is costing them money. Porn surfers are becoming skeptical and demanding better value for money, and major porn companies are now saying that content is king. We’ve always believed this, and our statistics reflect that philosophy."
