With its 180,000 square foot show floor and over 150 exhibitors, the 2004 Internext opened with the expected bang.
Crowds were thick, with all manner of affiliate programs, websites, technology providers, and interested fans manning booths or wandering the cavernous show floor.
“The turnout for the show really portends of great things to come for the adult Internet this year,” Renee Johnson told AVN.com.
"From the looks of things this will be a banner year." Johnson added, and she should know: she’s the Internext Show Manager, and as such is largely responsible for the organization of the whole schmeil.
AVN.com caught up with Joan Irvine of Adult Sites Against Child Pornography, whose first day experience echoed most attendees we spoke with. “We’re having a great show,” Irvine said. “We’ve had so many people come to the booth, everyone been checking out the new things we’re doing and what we’re about.”
Adult celebrities spotted on the show floor include the ubiquitous Ron Jeremy, Crystal Steal, and even top-rung superstar Jenna Jameson.
Overall, a fantastic kick-off to what will undoubtedly be one of the best Internexts ever.
