Felicia Fox’s Cable Movie Causes Stir in Palm Beach

Adult film star Felicia Fox is at the center of some controversy in West Palm Beach, Fla., where she recently filmed several nude scenes for a late-night cable movie at a charter high school.

Jose Lambiet, who writes the Page Two column in the Palm Beach Post, reported today that the head of the G-STAR School of Arts did not know the content of the film, called Doors of Desire.

“I didn't know Felicia Fox until now. I was told there'd be no nudity," G-STAR’s Greg Hauptner told the Post. “Since it's summer, no kids were around.”

Lambiet also reported that two of Sheriff Ric Bradshaw's unmarked patrol cars with blue lights were used in a hostage scene, and two deputies worked set security.

"We were assured by the film commission that there would be nothing inappropriate going on," sheriff's spokesman Paul Miller told Lambiet.

Mike South, an adult producer who was also in the film, told Page Two that he thought it was a little weird to film on school property, but he and the actors loved it.

"We shot a wet T-shirt contest and a sex scene in a biker bar," South said. "We filmed in a pawn shop and two private homes. At the school, no kid was exposed to any nudity. We did one nude scene there, with a lot of kissing and rubbing. The doors were closed."

Fox, who flew to Florida from her home in Ohio to shoot the movie about a month ago, told AVN.com that she landed the role partly because of her willingness to do nude scenes when other actresses would not. Fox said there are five softcore scenes in the movie, one of which she spends a majority of the time naked.

“The place we shot, G-STAR, they knew the whole time what was going on,” she said. “The guy that was with them was there for two days. He’s changing his story. … There was a little area blocked out for us. … Everybody thought it was fine. Once the story broke, things got kind of stirred up and stories started flying.”

She continued, “There is a lot of full nudity in it. I think everybody was surprised when he was saying he really didn’t approve this. How could you not know what was going on, you knew the whole story, you saw the nudity.”

Palm Beach County Commissioner Mary McCarty told the Post: "Sounds like somebody should be reading those scripts a little better. I hope we won't become the soft-porn capital of the world."

Meanwhile, Fox said that she was planning to send the West Palm Beach cops a few of her 8x10s.

“My God, I’ve had more than one police officer come to my feature shows,” she said. “They were off-duty and they can do what they want. I used one of their bullhorns for a big scene at the very end.”

Fox said the school was on summer break, and aside from seeing an occasional bus, “I didn’t see any children there.”

And besides, she said, “We’re all professionals.”
