Falcon Studios Names New Director of Production

Popular gay adult video star Chris Steele has been tapped for the Director of Production position at Falcon Studios. He follows industry legends John Rutherford and Steven Scarborough in this high visibility assignment. Steele, who has been working with the Falcon production department for several years, will oversee all aspects of video production, including casting and script development, and will work with directors on concepts and the execution of each release for all the Falcon lines.

"I'm very privileged to be working in such a very important position with what I consider to be the top studio in the gay adult industry," Steele told AVN.com in an exclusive interview Thursday. "I'm looking forward to continuing the Falcon legacy of producing quality movies and videos. And while I've been working with this studio for many years, I'm excited to be moving up to this position."

Steele began his XXX career in late 1998 as an exclusive for Studio 2000, and has since appeared in numerous releases for a wide array of studios, including All Worlds Video, Massive Studio, and Rascal Video. His directorial debut was the 2000 GAYVN-nominated Steele Pole. He has since fashioned a side career as a prolific screenwriter. His scripts include Rascal's Below the Rim, Detention, and A Man's Tail. His most recent work in front of the camera for Falcon Studios includes Aftershock 1-2.

Of Steele's appointment, Falcon President and CFO Terry Mahaffey told AVN.com, "My initial impression of Chris was formed four years ago during the filming of Shock. I was pleased to see how his easygoing style and comfort in leading people made such a difference to that set. It's been truly wonderful to watch Chris continue to grow in his behind-the-lens endeavors these past few years. I have the utmost confidence that his poise, professionalism, and can-do attitude will be a great asset to Falcon, and that Chris will soon be recognized as one of—if not the—industry's best production directors."

Steele's first project under his new title will be to coordinate Falcon's upcoming big-budget movie to be filmed in London in March. Though he says directing more movies remains a goal for him, Steele adds, "I love working production and working all aspects of on-the-set. It's new and challenging. This is a great step forward for me."
