LFP Video changed its name to Hustler Video Nov. 1 and will introduce the name change officially during January's CES 2000 convention in Las Vegas.
The new Hustler Video lines will include Hustler's Barely Legal and Hustler XXX, among others, with other new lines now in the planning stages. The name change affects all videos released after Jan. 1, the company says, with no further volumes coming from Vivid Video's Hustler line.
Vivid Video had marketed a line of Hustler videos, but Vivid's licensing deal with the Flynt operations expired on Halloween. But a Flynt spokesman says there was no bad blood involved - just a growing Hustler video division.
"We're sorry to end our successful relationship with Vivid," says LFP president Jim Kohls. "It was a mutually profitable association. But as our own video division grows and we develop lines based on our magazines, it only makes sense for us to start using the Hustler name."
