CLEARWATER, Fla.—Exotic Dancer Publications has named Last Comic Standing star Ralphie May as the host of its 13th Annual Awards Show & Reception.
The gala show takes place in the Grand Ballroom at the Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Aug. 24, from 8-11 p.m.
May, who readers might recognize from his portly appearance, has starred in three one-hour Comedy Central specials, which were among the cabler’s highest rated. May appears opposite Neil Patrick Harris and Amy Sedaris in the feature film, The Best and Brightest. He was voted one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch” in 2008.
ED Publications also has announced the nominees for the 2010 Adult Nightclub & Exotic Dancer Awards Show after a two-week nominations period this month. The final nominees were determined from those votes as well as input from the ED staff.
Final voting for the winners in each category commences on July 7 at EDPublications.com.

Overall Entertainer of the Year

Newcomer Entertainer of the Year

Divas of Deviance [Trio: Alexis Texas, Sunny Leone and Teagan Presley], Jenna Haze, Katsuni, Kayla Carrera, Lisa Ann, Nikki Benz
Club Favorite Entertainer of the Year
Gia Nova, Jaded Dawn, Katrina Kat, Pason, Shay Lynn, Sondra Saxon
Each of the five Overall Entertainer of the Year nominees will provide a live feature performance during the Awards Show.
Adult nightclub award nominees will be announced prior to the final ballot being posted.
