The best advice I ever got is from my mom: when she described how difficult it was to be a strong, successful woman in a man’s world—and how I cannot let the misogynistic attitude of some get to me; to always believe in myself and not what some guy with a small dick and an oversized ego tells me. She also taught me to always be able to laugh at yourself and not to take myself too seriously.

Best thing about being a photographer:
Being able to play “dress up” and making a girl look her absolute best. There is nothing more satisfying to me when a girl looks at her own photos and is amazed by how good she looks.

Her greatest strength as a photographer:
I know how to treat the girls and make them feel comfortable. So many photographers – men especially – don't realize how frightening it can be to be a woman exposing yourself in front of the camera. As a woman, I understand what it’s like to have insecurities about your looks and what it’s like to feel physically judged. I worked for a man a few times who yelled at a brand new model because she was nervous and stiff-looking on set...and guess how that made her feel? If you guessed that it didn’t help her insecurity issues, you get a gold star.
One thing about the adult biz that annoys her:
The way I hear how some girls are treated on set. I live in what I like to call the "Suze Bubble"—we care about the girls we shoot and we’re here to make them look and feel beautiful. And it’s a very female-oriented environment. Now I like a little rough sex as much as the next girl, but when I hear about these “Donkey Punch” videos and girls going home crying because they were forced to do something they didn’t want to do, or because they were insulted/brutalized on set it makes me sick to my stomach.

Upcoming excitement at Suze.net:
Well, we’re really trying to step it up video-wise—we’ve been associated with still photography for so long, (which is my original love and always will be) so I’m pushing for a lot more video that will reflect the classiness and the sexiness of the photos that have made my mother so famous. So, I’d be looking forward to some new excellent video scenes, and we of course will always be providing the excellent photography that we are so well known for. We’ve also been doing really well in the cell phone market, and our mobile WAP site will be up and running very soon.
