Ex-Escort Rating Website Moderator Busted - For Escort Assaults

A man who ran a Website that specialized in rating escort services is suspected of assaulting and robbing escorts themselves, and was arrested April 3 - at home, as his wife and children watched.

Authorities say Robert A. Davis - a former Boston board moderator who was fired last August by BigDoggie.net, a site where men post ratings messages about high-priced escorts - was discovered when industry insiders recognized him in surveillance images. He was arrested on several charges of kidnapping, armed robbery, and armed assault involving four attacks in the last six weeks, according to the Boston Globe - but authorities aren't certain why Davis did it.

It isn't exactly Davis's first time up with the law - the Globe said the former computer industry worker was accused in 2002 of using his position to get free sex with porn stars whom authorities did not name. But investigators showed reporters a large haul of evidence seized from his home, including cell phones, a laptop, plastic restraints, a stun gun, and clothes he's suspected of wearing during the attacks.
