Evil Angel Productions is now offering premium video-on-demand service online, powered by DivX technology, the studio announced this week.
Licensing the DivX Open Video system, Evil Angel says they can now provide DVD-quality video and audio "that turns a PC into a complete home theater," according to the company's announcement with DivXNetworks, Inc.
"By utilizing the cutting-edge DivX video technology and complete video-on-demand solution, we can bring our users their favorite movies and stars in remarkable DVD-quality," said Evil Angel Internet division's Aiden Kelly.
Several of the studio's most popular offerings will be available for real-time or downloaded viewing, played an unlimited amount of times for up to a month's service charge. And viewers will have full fast forward, rewind, and pause capability, the studio said, not to mention the SmartStart feature letting them start watching before a download is finished.
