Evan Stone Debuts on Spice Hotel - Dee, Ariana Jollee, Billy Glide, Jasmyne Byrne, Lyla Lei, Avena Lee

Evan Stone has replaced the departing Julian on Spice Hotel, the interactive, hardcore sex show that airs every weekend on the Spice Live channel.

Stone made his debut on Sunday night with one of his favorite co-stars, the Puerto Rican beauty Dee.

“I got a surprising phone call. It was like getting a phone call from the President of the United States,” Stone said, recalling his conversation with Spice Hotel director Bud Lee. “I love working for Bud. He's a genius. Now he’s on mainstream TV and it’s very exciting.”

Stone, who is best known for his work in features, said he recently has been “dabbling” in gonzo scenes with companies such as Digital Playground and Third Degree. He said before his virgin show that he might bring “a little bit of insanity” to the mix.

According to Lee, he did just that.

“First of all, it had a great amount of entertainment value,” Lee told AVN.com. “Evan was great. His personality really came to light, and we really were able to capture that.”

Dee had been working with Mr. Marcus, who remains one of the Spice Hotel regulars.

“They were our steady rock for a long time, so it was time to kind of move in a different direction,” Lee reasoned. “Evan is great addition to the show. He’s one of the best talkers we’ve ever had.”

When Julian left, citing a budding real estate career and other interests, Lee had to do some shuffling of talent.

“I tried mixing and matching. I put Ariana Jollee and Billy Glide together. I wanted to get some more life out of people again,” Lee said. “Dee is one of the most beautiful, vivacious women in our business. She’s smart and a good talker, so I didn’t want her to go away. I thought it was best to put something else together. I approached Evan and talked to him 14 months ago. Now things have changed in his life, and we were able to come to an agreement.”

Mr. Marcus, whose Spice Hotel co-stars have included Avena Lee, Marie Luv, Jada Fire and Lyla Lei, among others, will continue to work with different girls.

“We’ve got some interesting people coming up,” Lee said, revealing that Victoria Sweet and Jasmine Byrne were among the new girls booked with the veteran stud.

The Spice Hotel lineup now is Marcus and “TBA” on Friday night, Glide and Jollee on Saturday and Dee and Stone on Sunday.

“We moved Dee into the Sunday slot, and that helped her a lot with her dancing so she wouldn’t miss as much time on air. The main reason I did it was I wanted to strengthen that time slot,” Lee said. “They’re a great couple and I knew people would see it and start talking about it.”

Spice Hotel, which entails one professional porn couple responding to callers from across the country that watch them engage in hardcore sex acts, is shot in High-Def and airs at 9 p.m. PST/midnight EST for 90 minutes every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

After 14 months, Lee said that the show has begun to find itself.

“I think we’re more of a straight-ahead sex show. We’ve really moved past trying to be some sort of entertainment value outside of sex,” the director said. “The reason being is that’s what our callers told us they want. We have brought together a cast now that really want to be out there having sex and going to it. … We’ve simplified it. We get these people calling in, get ‘em up, get ‘em off and get on to the next call. I think it’s a good place for us.”
