Bob East’s Phoenix Releasing has signed a distribution deal with Athena Productions, the start-up studio that is based in Austin, Texas but shoots their videos in Europe.
East calls it “high end Europorn,” featuring all Euro girls, with no dialogue, just music.
Adrian Arredondo, president of Athena Productions, who directs the videos himself, earned his chops in the mainstream world as a commercial videographer shooting industrial films and multimedia projects.
Arredondo also has a background in adult retail, having worked for the Adult Video Megaplex chain.
“We feel that the premium quality market segment is underserved and we feel that we can gain a presence in that market with a style that I like to think of as an ultra-competitive product,” Arredondo told AVN.com in a previous interview, noting that while his average budget of $25,000 per video is certainly more-than-average in the United States, it’s worth three times as much in Eastern Europe.
Phoenix Releasing has also agreed to distribute a new Euro-anal series, Holes & Whores, from director Roland Dante, with Euro anal queen Kyara Diavolo.
