Ethan Kane Directs Crush for Digital Sin

Ethan Kane has lingered behind the scenes for a long time. The veteran producer and editor for Michael Ninn’s production company Ninn Worx has produced the lion’s share of the company’s titles since its inception, as well as edited several of its features. He also directed the first four installments of the Ninn Worx series, Lost Angels. Ninn Worx is well known for it’s artistic, ornate features.

“I first met Michael when I edited his very first website about six years ago, and then I edited Perfect…that’s how I got my start with them,” Kane said.

Now he has moved out on his own as a director with the May 25 release of Crush through Digital Sin. “Michael [Ninn] and I have been good friends for five or six years now, and so there's a lot of influence there, but I figured you can’t work under somebody forever. I basically saw this as the time to put in all of my input into projects,” Kane told AVN.com.

Kane will surely inject all of his input, as he directed, produced, casted, location scouted, edited and created the music for the two-hour long Crush. He has recently signed a six-title directing deal with Digital Sin, and he says that he’s excited to see how it works out.

“Right now, both Digital Sin and I will just feel each other out…if everything goes well, we’ll extend the deal.”

The young director told AVN.com that he takes a certain amount of influence from the work of his post-production company, which, amongst other things, does the editing for music videos. “My titles are going to be the same sort of beautifully-shot style as Michael Ninn’s features,” said Kane, “but I’m going to make them younger and edgier with a very different style of music.

“I went to film school before I got into adult, and work a lot of with mainstream stuff, and so I really try and take a lot of influences outside of adult, and bring them in.”

Kane will head to Budapest next for a two-month stay, where he will do four features for Digital Sin. “A lot of directors do gonzo work when they go to Budapest, because they don’t have the contacts there. I’ve done some Ninn Worx features in Hungary, most notably Catherine, and so I’ve gained access to some beautiful locations and talent, and I look forward to utilizing them.”

It’s safe to say that Kane’s future out on his own looks bright.

Digital Sin’s Crush stars Celeste Star, Otto Bauer, Holly Morgan, Alicia Angel, Franchezca Valentina and Tiffany Rayne.
