Error Directing EZ Pass Applicants to Porn Line Corrected

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has corrected an embarrassing error that directed EZ Pass applicants to a porn hotline.

A recent KYW New Radio story reported that a form that's mailed to EZ pass customers who haven't completed their applications normally includes one toll free phone number for people who need further assistance, but Turnpike Commission spokesman Bill Capone says a second number mistakenly was printed on a recent batch of forms.

“In one of the numbers instead of 877, it references an 800 number 1-800-Penn Pass.”

“So there was a mistake. It was caught about a week to ten days ago by our customer service center and it's been corrected, so to any customer who happened to call the 800 number, we apologize for the mistake.”
