Erotica LA, VCA to Host Rock-N-Roll Bingo Thursday

Erotica LA and VCA Pictures will join together for Rock-N-Roll Bingo, a unique charity event to be held from 6 to 10 p.m. this Thursday at Crane’s Hollywood Tavern.

All proceeds will benefit the Free Speech Coalition, a trade association for the adult industry whose mission is to safeguard the industry from oppressive governmental regulation and to promote good business practices within the industry.

The special evening will be hosted by adult performer Joanna Angel, star of Eon McKai’s Neu Wave Hookers and punk rocker Tim Armstrong, lead singer of Rancid.

Sponsors of Rock-N-Roll Bingo include an array of adult and mainstream companies, including Playboy.com, LA Weekly, Wanted List and Amoeba Music.

This is one of the many Erotica LA-sponsored events leading up to the 2006 show scheduled for June 23–25 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. In celebration of its 10-year anniversary, Erotica LA is gearing up for the largest crowd in Erotica history.

“The show attracted nearly 40,000 consumers in 2005 and we’re expecting a much bigger crowd this year,” said Renee Johnson, senior show manager. “Because there is so much to do at Erotica LA, from shopping to entertainment to seminars, there is something for everyone and the crowds love it!”

The show’s continued popularity and growth attracts a great deal of attention and the momentum isn’t slowing. Erotica LA has been described by Fox 11 News as “the largest erotic festival in the U.S.,” and as the “hottest show in LA” by KLSX’s Tom Leykis.
