The 10th annual Erotica LA show begins today and runs through Sunday. The sprawling event, which is held at the L.A. Convention Center, will open at 4 p.m. this afternoon and close at 11 p.m. Tomorrow, the show will run from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“The response to this year's Erotica LA is so exciting,” said Cindy Cheer, Erotica LA marketing manager. “More consumers have bought presale tickets than ever before and interest from the mainstream media has been overwhelming.
“I encourage everyone to come down and experience this year's Erotica LA 10-year anniversary event.”
This year’s convention will feature hundreds of booths showcasing erotic merchandise, from X-rated videos to romantic products. Cheer said that nearly every business segment is represented, making it the largest shopping metroplex for adults only, under one roof.
“The show also brings together top adult talent from the biggest studios in the industry, offers an array of informative seminars and delivers tantalizing stage shows and entertainment,” said Cheer. Adult production and distribution companies, large and small, will have booths, many of them featuring talent that will sign autographs and meet with fans.
In addition, this year’s show will feature the first annual F.A.M.E. Awards; Pleasure Chest seminar series; photography slide shows by rock photographer Henry Diltz and erotic photographers Andrew Blake and Justice Howard; and over 300 exhibitors. Official spokesperson for the show and AVN Hall of Famer, Jenna Jameson, will be making daily appearances to sign autographs, and rocker co-host Dave Navarro will do a live, Indie 103.1 FM broadcast.
All three days will include several live dance performances, fashion shows and seminars. Today's entertainment will also include exotic feature dancers, a live broadcast by Tha’ Goodfellas (Power 106) and a stripper showdown (presented by Private Dancer Magazine).
Saturday’s features will include an XART Grant presentation, Vivid’s Debbie Does Dallas…Again cheerleader auditions, several dance performances, and the F.A.M.E. Awards, hosted by comedian Bob Levy along with performers Carmen Luvana and Tommy Gunn beginning at 9 p.m.
Sunday’s features include an Innovated Concepts car rims giveaway and a free breast implant giveaway.
There will also be a rock wall, a mechanical bull for the 2nd Annual Buckfest, an XArt Gallery, an Erotica LA merchandising booth, a custom vehicle showcase and show staff will be distributing gift bags to the first 1,000 attendees.
The cost for tickets is $30 per person, per day, and $60 for a three-day VIP discount pass.
