Erotic Heritage Museum Hosting Lost Souls Night

LAS VEGAS - Harry Mohney's Erotic Heritage Museum will host Lost Souls Night, an after-Halloween street party to benefit the museum.

Harry Mohney's Erotic Heritage Museum is located at 3275 Industrial Road, Las Vegas, NV, 89109. Lost Souls Night is set for 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, and is open to anyone ages 18 and older. There is no admission fee to the event.

Dr. Laura Henkel, artistic director, said the benefit marks the first chance since the museum's opening in August for the people of Las Vegas and the area's "emerging self-identified sex industry celebrants to join together and say, ‘Yes, we want this museum in our city. We are proud of it and we want it to grow into the world-class museum we know it can become.'"

Activities planned for the Lost Souls Night include carnival games, fire performances from a group provided by Antonio Restivino and David Clem, magicians and tarot card and palm readings by Dr. Suzie Raye.

Entertainers volunteering their time for the event include DJ Wiliya, DJ Pierrorist and classic rock band Another Hugh Jass Production.

There is also an auction scheduled for the evening, with all proceeds benefiting the museum, Henkel said.

"The Erotic Heritage Museum is the culmination of years of struggle from the courts and the marketplace to legitimize that people have as much right to learn about, fantasize about and celebrate how they really feel about sexuality," she said. "The museum is a culmination of those feelings as expressed through film, video, graphic design, simple and elaborate works of art. The museum reminds the sex industry of its own rich erotic heritage that needs to be evaluated, protected and saved for future generations."
