EpicCash Launches New Webmaster Board, Promises “Drama”

“This time, it’s personal,” says EpicCash President Trey (aka “PimpDog”) regarding the launch of his company’s brand-new webmaster board, WhyFuckYourself.com, just one week after Trey got tossed off rival board GoFuckYourself.com.

Still smarting from the booting (“I thought that was a slap in the face, considering the amount of money [I’ve] spent on them over the years,” he comments), Trey decided to start his own forum as a response to GFY. And, according to Trey, almost anything goes.

“We’re going to allow a lot more freedom than other sites,” he promises. “We’re not going to censor anybody’s posts or be biased toward anybody. You can speak your mind about EpicCash. We won’t block you from saying negative things about our company. It’s pretty much a free-for-all.”

Although he concedes that the board’s name is similar to GFY’s, Trey says that the moniker is not to be taken as homage. “It’s more of a parody than anything,” he offers, adding that he hopes to give his old stomping ground a run for its money. “They’re pretty much the No. 1 board out there,” he says of GFY. “My goal is to match them—if not outdo them. Everybody’s gotta run their course at some point, and they’ve been on top for a while.”

While WFY on Thursday was up and running with more than 60 members and in excess of 1,000 posts, Trey says the launch was a little premature. “We developed the board over the last week. Someone found out about it and leaked it a little too soon, so [yesterday] was our unexpected opening date. We kind of hit the ground running, but it’s been great. It’s starting off pretty well.”

Considering the board’s genesis, one has to wonder how much the forum will be informed by webmaster drama. After all, a blurb on the site itself promises “brutally honest discussion about the industry. If you can’t handle the heat, whine somewhere else. We don’t care.”

True to his reputation, Trey promises that those who expect him to mouth off will not be disappointed. “It’s pretty much understood [that there will be drama],” he chuckles. “Everybody knows what PimpDog’s about, so don’t expect anything dull.”

You can’t say we didn’t warn you.
