Ty Endicott has taken a bold new step with his new career move - he's going to have IFD, the distribution subsidiary of Dane, distribute his new releases domestically but will distribute his catalog, foreign, ecommerce, and VOD sales himself. rnrn
"I'm retaining ownership of my titles and using another company to distribute it," Endicott told AVN.com. "It's a big departure for me because I'm taking on another level of responsibilities. I'm trying to compartmentalize my approach to distribution so I can get maximum returns for each aspect of it. rnrn
"It's like the way you build a stereo system," he said, "you don't want to buy an all in one unit - you want to have each component be something that will work at maximum capabilities."rnrn
In another bold move, Endicott has decided that he will no longer release VHS tapes. "Its easier to get a better ROI (return of investment) that way because I'm putting less into post-production and not getting that much less in sales. My warehouse needs are much less. I'm just on the cutting edge of what's going to happen in the next decade for the adult industry.rnrn
"Everyone's going to convert to just putting out DVDs," he stated. rnrn
His new deal with IFD will start when Endicott releases his new series Nicoteen sometime later this month. Nicoteen differs from a previous Endicott smoking series, Anal Girls of Tobacco Road, by including a storyline. rnrn
"This time I took a little bit more of a storyline approach. It's more interesting. I did outside pick-ups with them, which gives it a little bit more of a reality approach. "rnrn
Nicotine will be approximately 150 minutes long with Endicott performing in all four sex scenes.
