Newcomer Emily Evermoore is not shy about much of anything, least of all putting in a hot scene. “Porn, to me, is mostly about looking good and fucking well…and if you do those two things, your name will get around,” she says.
The sexy, whip-smart Kansas native sat down with AVN.com recently after coming back from her short hiatus. Now the 21-year-old Evermoore, who has only shot a handful of titles for companies such as Hustler, Shane’s World and Evolution Erotica, is back and eager to show what she’s got.
Evermoore explained that she found her affinity for sex as a teenager. “I was pretty bored as a child,” the starlet recalled, “and out of that boredom, my sexuality started to kick in…Once I got older, I decided if my job wasn’t going to involve sex, it wasn’t going to work out for me.”
Following her libido, a 19-year-old Evermoore landed in Nevada in 2004. She was working at the famous Sheri’s Ranch brothel when she first brushed up against the adult entertainment industry while attending the 2006 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo.
“I was going all over the place meeting people and collecting new toys,” recalled Evermoore, “it was a lot of fun.” It was at that point that Evermoore decided to leave the brothel circuit. As she put it, “I decided I was a little too young to have sex with a bunch of old men…So I decided to move to Los Angeles and have sex with a bunch of young, good-looking men. And I have a passion for the limelight, as well.”
Evermoore landed with Joel Lawrence and Gold Star Modeling in March of this year. “I was introduced to Joel at AEE,” she explained.
Confident in every way, the starlet said she had no jitters at all on her first shoot. “My first scene was with Ed Powers, and he pays premiums for first scenes. At that point, I had the whole mentality down. Porn was nothing new to me, you just add a camera. And it really took a lot for him to believe that I was completely new to the business. I was still 21, but I wasn’t nervous and I was very sexual…it was really hard convincing him that it was my first time on camera.
“In the end, the scene went great. And after that, I worked every day for the first 30 days, sometimes twice a day.”
Evermoore said that having sex on camera became a huge turn-on for her. “When I’m having sex [and a camera is turned on me] that makes it forever…it sort of immortalizes part of my soul. It’s something psychological, I guess. I love the lights and I love the camera. ... I love the attention.
“If I’m with a guy and I’m not really in the mood, he just has to turn a camera on me [to get me going].”
Only a month after her first scene, a kidney infection halted Evermoore’s progress, and she was forced to take a two-month break.
Now back and looking better than ever, the petite starlet is independent, but said she’s open to representation, though she isn’t sweating it too much. “I don’t want the headache of [being represented by] somebody I don’t want. And if I don’t want them, I’m going to be a headache,” she laughed.
“I’m a little stubborn…I just want someone to tell me when I have work, and that’s it.”
Evermoore said that she is also interested in acting, and wants to branch out from the gonzo scene into features, as well as contract consideration. “I’m actually attending John Robert Powers School of Acting right now….Acting is a passion of mine.
“I was going to try the mainstream thing, until I realized how much fun it’s not…and I’m a sucker for fun.
“I figure work should be [like] play."
