Fetish Magazine editor Ellen Thompson went to the Fangoria Convention at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium this past weekend whereupon she apparently scared the bejeezus out of Linda Blair.
Thompson: "It was me and Edie Love, my art director, and Ed Fox, my feature photographer for this next issue of Fetish. We're old horror movie fans from way back. That's h-o-r-r-o-r, not whore. I just wanted to clarify that because you know what business we're in. I met Candace Hilligoss. I got her autograph from Carnival of Souls. She was a nice if not spacey old lady. Anyway we walked into this one room, and, lo and behold, Linda fucking goddamn Blair, minus the pea soup and her head was stationary. She was signing autographs. I loved all her cheesy movies. Who could forget the shower-rape scene with the plunger? I still get chills over that.
"I'm waiting in line waiting to get her autograph and she's Miss Chatty Cathy with all ten people in front of me. She's having a good time, and sweet and fun and laughing. And then it's my turn. I walk up. I have a photo. She looks up at me and gets this look on her face. I went, hi. She clamed up for a second. She goes, 'So who do we make this out to?' To Ellen, and I start telling her I've liked her from way back and used to send her fan mail. So she signs, 'To Ellen, love and sweet dreams, Linda Blair.' She handed it to me then turned around and pretended she was talking to someone behind her table. I thought what the fuck. What is she giving me the cold shoulder for? Edie says, 'God, I think you scared her.' I didn't do anything. I was wearing the company colors - black. Maybe it was the septum spike that I was wearing. You go to a horror convention, there's bound to be a few weirdos. I didn't think I was going to be the weirdo."

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about some of the many projects I have been working on. I'm very lucky lately as I have put together a talented new crew comprised of the best non-industry photographers, gaffers, techs, and editors on the East Coast and I have discovered some of the most gorgeous tropical-looking locations I have ever set eyes on. Sorry, no fistfights to report- just lots of movie production…
First off, due to popular demand I have revived my flagship girl-girl series Strap-On Sally, which is pictured in the inside back cover of the current AVN magazine. As a matter of fact the latest volume in the series - Strap-On Sally 13- hits the street today, May 25,1999. From what I'm told Pleasure Productions had tremendous sales out the door based on the reputation of the previous titles and the solid boxcover graphics.
The ad and the box feature Marylin Star, who picked up the harness to take over the title role and Denee Dreams, an 18 year old lesbian virgin who I discovered stripping in a club in West Palm Beach. The remainder of the supporting cast is comprised of a slew of brand new talent, mostly teen-age and twenty something Florida strippers, several of whom made their on-screen debuts during this shoot.
The sequel, Strap-On Sally 14, is currently in the editing bay right now. I am even more pleased with the results, again due to Marylin's strong screen presence and the combination of a number of different young models making their on screen debuts outdoors in the Florida sun in this shot-on-location production. Leah Lauren, an 18 year old cutie and Cat, a hard-bodied blonde beauty are two of these nubile newcummers I refer to. Like last time, a few of the girls had their very first sexual experience with a woman for my camera during the course of this production. Look for this six-scene, Beta-SP production to hit the street this summer.
In related news, the first two volumes of another girl-girl series starring Marylin Star, entitled Penis Envy will also be released by Pleasure Productions this summer, with the first title slated for a June 15 release date. There's more all-girl orgy action in this one as Marylin plays a woman obsessed with her penis, or more accurately, the lack of it. This classical Freudian fantasy leads to five scenes of hardcore dildo-stuffing in each volume with Marylin and a cast of nubile unknown strippers making their debut appearances.
In other news, I have just returned from a long shooting spree in Brazil, where I have continued the constant search for new talent for my movies. I have finished the second volume of my ethnic series for Devil's Films- Luscious Latinas- with an all outdoor production of new Brazilian talent, both male and female in boy-girl, anal and girl-girl action. We filmed outside on tropical beaches, and on spectacular sea views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There are six Brazilian "garotas" [girls], two of whom had never appeared on video in any form before, and four muscular local studs.
Separately, I am also directing two new series for Arrow Productions, which will be taking me and my pal Marc on a global tour of the sexiest cities worldwide on the hunt for more brand new talent. Rio De Janeiro hosted the first installment of the International Deep Throat Search. This two hour production (currently in post-production) is the first in an ongoing series of all (or should I say mostly) oral sex movies looking for the next Linda Lovelace, based on actual deep-throating technique. An all Brazilian cast of guys and girls, hosted in English starts out this series with a Latin ethnic flavor. Future plans include Scandinavia, Europe, and other major international cities in the Western Hemisphere.
Rio De Janeiro was also our first stop-over on a sex trek that will take us around the globe concurrently with our Deep Throat Search for a new pseudo-documentary series entitled Sex Around The World. This shot-on-location series features an expose of the underground sex scenes of major cities around the world with an emphasis on giving advice to the horny traveler on how to best get laid in these various metropolises. The series shows our roving reporter out on the actual beaches, discos, clubs, and streets both in the daytime and nighttime where actual prostitutes, escorts, bar-girls and other pay-for-play women are available to anyone with American Greenbacks. The sex scenes are all tied in with practical advice and real hardcore footage of the actual sex practitioners near the places referred to in the story. The Brazil location was perfect for the first volume, as it afforded us a fascinating look at a real, underground [actually it was so wide open I'd call it above ground] sex scene and we made the most of it in five scenes of Brazilian sex.
