If there was one truly surprised recipient at the 2007 AVN Awards, it had to be director Eli Cross, who was awarded the title of Best Director – Video for his work on Sex-Z Pictures' Corruption. "Enthused" hardly began to describe Cross's mood as he accepted his trophy.
Backstage in the photo-op room, Cross joked with photographers: "I'm in shock! I'm in complete shock! I was so sure that I was not going to win. But I also figured I had a pretty good shot…and I was right!"
Ever the gentleman, following his time backstage, Cross said he was "going back out there to root for Hillary Scott to win Best Actress – Video for Corruption!"
