CHATSWORTH, Calif. – Elegant Angel is kicking off its 2008 release schedule with a big two-disc, seven-scene set starring a septet of the biggest names in today’s porn market: Eva Angelina, Jada Fire, Sasha Grey, Jenna Haze, Brianna Love, Rebecca Linares and Alexis Texas.
The movie, directed by William H., will be released January 29.
Not so incidentally, five of the seven stars—Fire, Gray, Haze, Linares, Love—are nominees for Female Performer of the Year in the 2008 AVN Awards, while Texas is up for Best New Starlet and Angelina for Best Actress, Video.
Each girl performs anal sex in the movie, except for newcomer Texas, whose repertoire still lacks that specialty. And there’s no group action; each scene is one girl, one boy. “I wanted to focus all on the girl,” director H. told AVN.
“It’s a little more artsy than what I usually do,” he added. “The teases are a bit different. The sex is still raw but it’s not a circus act type of thing.”
He shot each of the seven scenes in a different deluxe location—“I usually shoot by a dumpster”—to give the movie “more of a higher class look.”
The whole project, he said, “was really cool. I’ve shot all these girls in the past, and in this one they all wanted to go the extra mile. Everybody enjoyed who they were working with and they really got into the sex.”
Special Features on Disc 2 are Behind The Scenes, star interviews, an EA 2007 retrospective featurette, four bonus scenes, extensive star galleries and more.
Elegant Angel has "really high expectations” for the set, according to general manager Graham Travis. “I'm very excited about what William has directed. Over the past couple of years, I think he's grown into one of the best directors in porn, and 2007 has been his best year yet."
The company’s objective, he added, “is to make this series an annual event, where we celebrate the best girls each year.” [Love and Fire are the current embodiments of, respectively, EA’s Buttwoman and Squirtwoman.]
“There were a couple of girls we wanted to shoot but couldn't. For example Annette Schwarz [Slutwoman] is out of the country, and Bree Olson is under contract. But what has made our movies special this year are the girls, and that's what this series celebrates.”
