Elegant Angel Signs Director Ren Savant

Elegant Angel is proud to announce the signing of multiple AVN Award-winning director Ren Savant, best known for his work on stylistic big-budget features such as West Side and The Prisoner, to an exclusive one-year contract.

"We are very happy to have Ren aboard," Elegant Angel general manager Axel Braun said, "He is an extraordinary director, a brilliant editor and a consummate professional with a solid cinematic background. In other words, an addition to the Elegant Angel team that we can all be proud of! We are truly excited about what Ren has planned over the upcoming months.

"I have a tremendous amount of respect for Axel and Patrick [Collins, owner of Elegant Angel], and I really felt that this was the perfect place to be" Savant said. "They are really trying to take pornography to another level and I'm anxious to contribute to their vision.”

Although Savant's first feature for Elegant is being kept secret, Braun says: "It's an ambitious, high-budget project and we believe it will change the standards by which features are currently perceived in the market. The objective is to create a story driven by hot sexual encounters, with a believable theme, extraordinary production value and competent acting...basically the opposite of the traditional approach of ‘couples oriented’ pornography.”

Along with shooting six features a year, Savant will also supervise the editing of all Elegant Angel titles.

During Savant’s ten-plus years in the adult entertainment industry, he has won nearly every major award and accolade there is. Savant’s Seven Deadly Sins virtually swept the AVN show in 1999, garnering Savant eight trophies, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Editing, Best Screenplay, And Best Art Direction.
