Patrick Collins, owner of Elegant Angel, has announced the hiring of Bill Rix as its new sales and marketing manager.
Rix joins the Elegant Angel staff after more than 18 years in the music industry.
Rix, who recently relocated to the Los Angeles area from Nashville, has held key sales positions including working for Elektra/Warner Music Group, Skaggs Records and the independent record label, KOCH. Prior to his time spent at record labels, Rix was a buyer/manager in music retail for several years in the Buffalo, N.Y. area.
“I’ve spent the last several years preparing for a chance to use my sales and marketing skills for adult films,” Rix said.
“I did several promotions with adult film stars and the heavy metal band, Pantera, that just tweaked my interested in this career transition. I think the two industries aren't all that different, and as porn becomes more mainstream, my marketing skills will put Elegant Angel in a position to stand out from the competition. I look forward to the challenge in front of me, and to meeting everyone that makes up this exciting and evolving industry."
