Effex Media to Support Cancer Research

While promoting themselves at this week’s Miami Internext Expo, Effex Media, LLC, an adult online store, said that it will be supporting another cause; breast cancer research. The company will be giving away merchandise sponsored by the Eileen Stein Jacoby Fund, an organization that’s fighting against breast cancer.

Effex Media will also be giving out free Cancer support keychains and dog tags for anyone who stops by the booth.

“This is a great opportunity at a show of this magnitude make more people aware of breast cancer,” said John M., director of marketing for Effex Media. “Our industry deals with human sexuality on so many levels, it’s kind of hard to avoid. We’re trying to show people that we are more than the stereotypical porn companies, and we do good deeds as well.”

The Eileen Stein Jacoby Fund was established in 2000 and supports the laboratory of Molecular Biologist/Geneticist Andrew K. Godwin, Ph.D., in the Fox Chase Cancer Center medical science division. Godwin and his team of researchers study the hereditary and non-hereditary factors that influence one's risk of developing breast cancer and/or response to therapy.
