Eddie's Kids Casino Night Slated for Oct. 12

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Goalie Entertainment founder Eddie Wedelstedt will be the guest of honor at Oct. 12's annual Eddie's Kids Foundation Casino Night at the Universal City Sheraton hotel.

Eddie's Kids is a charity co-founded by Wedelstedt that works with an extensive list of organizations to help underprivileged children attend professional sporting events with their families, in order to foster "quality time" that will benefit their future immensely.

Wedelstedt recently ended a prison sentence for interstate transportation of obscene materials and conspiracy as a result of a Nov. 2005 plea agreement.

"It's been a real couple of tough years for my father," Eddie's daughter Beverly Wedelstedt told AVN, "and the one thing that makes him smile is raising money for the kids. So we want to make it a stellar year for Eddie's Kids. And he wants it [stressed] that 95 percent of all proceeds for Eddie's Kids come from adult. And we appreciate the fact that while he went away, the adult industry never forgot Eddie's Kids, and they're still there supporting them."

Kicking off at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails, followed by dinner, gambling and an auction from 7:30 on, Casino Night is open to industry friends, colleagues and anyone else who wishes to join the festivities.

As part of the auction, a 1989 black 12-cylinder Jaguar with 20,000 original miles and an updated stereo system will be offered, plus some opulent jewelry, sports packages, vacation packages and a number of other highly desirable items.

If interested in attending, please RSVP to Beverly Wedelstedt at (303) 570-2051 or via e-mail at [email protected].
