Dulce Seeks Adult Talent for Spanish-Language Reality Show

LOS ANGELES—Spanish-language company Dulce Media started shooting in fall of 2011, making a good first impression with its parody of El Gordo y la Flaca, a talk/variety show shown on Univision.

Now, it’s moving on to a new challenge: producing a Spanish-language reality show for an as-yet-unspecified television station. And Dulce’s doors are open to adult talent, both male and female, who would be willing to work on a scripted reality TV program.

Dulce Media’s Roman Tamez told AVN that he’s most interested in looking at performers who can speak Spanish, but just as important, he explained, are individuals who have a flair for the dramatic.

Tamez will be doing in-person casting on July 11. Performers seeking details on the project can call (866) 559-5492 or email [email protected].

Dulce Media was one of the new companies profiled in AVN’s June “Fresh” issue. In that article, Tamez talked about his plans for the future after the initial success of Dulce’s El Gordo y la Flaca parody. The company plans to produce high-end Spanish-language web scenes and features, including two more TV parodies.

“Our focus is the Spanish-language-speaking community, whether it be in America, Mexico, Central and South America or Spain,” Tamez said. “We started with parodies because they are universal. No matter where you are, you know what El Gordo y la Flaca is. It’s a niche market that we’re in by ourselves right now. From the reaction we’ve gotten thus far, it looks like a market that will grow and sustain itself.”
