The University of Chicago's Doc Films society will present the North American theatrical premiere of Jessica Nilsson's X-rated arthouse feature All About Anna tonight at 7:00.
Set for DVD release this spring through Wicked Pictures, All About Anna was co-produced by Lars Von Trier's Zentropa and Denmark-based Innocent Pictures. Actress Gry Bay stars in the title role of a theatrical costume designer struggling with problems in her love life; like Vincent Gallo's The Brown Bunny, the film includes hardcore sex along with the romantic drama.
The Chicago premiere is part of Doc Films' ten-week series "Cinematic Sexualities in the 21st Century". Other films in the program include 9 Songs and Gaspar Noe's Irreversible.
Tonight's screening will be held at the Max Palevsky Cinema in the University of Chicago's Ida Noyes Hall. For directions, call (773) 702-8575.
